Implementation Highlights

  • Conduct community mobilization and awareness campaigns to identify and enroll eligible unemployed and underprivileged youth.
  • Deliver structured classroom training complemented by practical, hands-on sessions in decorative painting and modern finishing techniques.
  • Provide industry-relevant training on surface preparation, colour application, texture finishes, tool handling, safety practices, and quality standards.
  • Strengthen participants’ employability through soft skills, communication, workplace ethics, and personality development sessions.
  • Facilitate exposure to real-world work environments through practical demonstrations and industry interactions.
  • Connect trained candidates with contractors, construction companies, painting service providers, and other employers for placement opportunities.
  • Ensure placement support with a target of facilitating employment for at least 70% of successfully trained candidates.
  • Promote sustainable livelihoods by enabling skilled youth to access wage employment and self-employment opportunities in the painting and construction sector.
  • Monitor trainees’ progress through regular assessments, mentoring, and post-training follow-up to support long-term career growth.

The project is creating a skilled workforce, enhancing employability, and opening pathways to sustainable livelihoods for youth while contributing to the growing demand for qualified professionals in the decorative painting and construction industry.
