Program Overview

HDFC Bank, in partnership with Bhartiya Jan Utthan Parishad (BJUP), has launched the Holistic Rural Development Programme (HRDP) to address the socio-economic challenges faced by rural communities in Shahpur and Bihiya blocks of Bhojpur district, Bihar. The initiative is set to improve the quality of life for the residents of 15 villages, focusing on the sectors of agriculture, livelihoods, health, education, and natural resource management. The project has created measurable, positive changes, promoting an integrated model of rural development by strengthening local institutions and enhancing agricultural practices.

The primary beneficiaries of the HRDP are farmers, women entrepreneurs, youth, students, and marginalized communities. The project has created positive changes in 15 villages, strengthening local institutions, enhancing agricultural practices, and improving health and sanitation conditions.
